SACRAMENTO, CA - - The California Republican Party (CRP) Board of Directors unanimously endorsed Jim Nielsen for State Senate in the 4th district special election. On Monday, Assemblyman Dan Logue withdrew from the race for health reasons, leaving Nielsen as the Republican standard-bearer in the district. The CRP urged all Republican voters to vote for Jim Nieslen. "With Dan Logue's withdrawal from the campaign, there is no longer a race between two Republicans in the 4th district special election. The California Republican Party urges Republican voters to cast their ballot for Jim Nielsen, who received the unanimous endorsement from the CRP's Board of Directors this morning," said CRP Vice-Chairman Steve Baric. "We also wish Dan Logue a speedy recovery and success in his Assembly election." The 4th district special election was created due to the resignation from the Senate of Doug LaMalfa, who is running for Congress.
